ClipGo is a workplace app for staff at GoAuto-affiliated automotive dealerships. It is used to record, trim, merge, and upload repair-order (RO) videos to GoAuto's RO Tracker. This page provides help, answers to common questions, and a way to contact the developer.
Getting started
- Open ClipGo and sign in to GoAuto through the in-app browser.
- Create or open a repair order from the RO list.
- Tap Record to capture one or more clips for that RO.
- Trim and merge clips into a single 720p video.
- Upload the merged video to GoAuto directly from the app.
Frequently asked questions
Who is ClipGo for?
ClipGo is built for service advisors and technicians at GoAuto-affiliated dealerships. A valid GoAuto account is required to sign in and upload videos.
The camera or microphone isn't working.
ClipGo needs camera and microphone access to record videos. Open the iOS Settings app, scroll down to ClipGo, and make sure both Camera and Microphone are turned on. Then relaunch the app.
I can't sign in to GoAuto.
Sign-in goes through GoAuto's own login page at market.goauto.io. If your credentials are not accepted, please confirm with your dealership IT contact that your GoAuto account is active. ClipGo itself does not create or manage GoAuto accounts.
My upload failed or is stuck.
- Check that the device has a stable internet connection.
- Confirm you are still signed in to GoAuto (try opening the in-app browser).
- Retry the upload from the RO's video screen.
- If the problem persists, email support with the RO number, app version, and a brief description of what happened.
Where are my videos stored?
Recorded and merged videos are stored locally on the device. Uploaded videos may be automatically removed from local storage after 24 hours to save space, but the RO will still show that a video was uploaded. You can also delete videos manually from inside the app.
Merging clips is slow or fails.
Merging uses on-device video processing and can take time for long or high-resolution clips. Try keeping the app in the foreground until merging finishes, and free up device storage if you have very little space left.
How do I delete a video or repair order?
Open the RO from the list, select the clip or merged video, and use the delete control. Deleting a video on the device does not remove any copy already uploaded to GoAuto.
Does ClipGo work without internet?
Recording, trimming, and merging work offline. Sign-in to GoAuto and uploading videos require an internet connection.

- iPhone running iOS 14 or later
- An active GoAuto account (for sign-in and uploading)
- Free device storage for recorded and merged videos

When emailing support, please include:
- Your device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro)
- iOS version
- ClipGo app version (shown on the app's settings/about screen)
- The RO number involved, if applicable
- A description of what you were doing and what went wrong
